Blog commenting is a backlink getting strategy. And in this article I am going to look at it from this viewpoint – a SEO backlink getting strategy.
What I mean by this is that you post on other people’s blogs to get a high quality “backlink” back to your website or blog. And the key here is “high quality” because you don’t want and need a crappy backlink. It won’t do you much good in any way.
The high quality is usually determined by how high or low the PR (page rank) is. PR is one of the many factors Google takes into consideration when ranking websites in their index. And PR is the most important one to look for when finding backlinks for your website.

The step-by-step process:
1.) You find the backlink. There are several methods to do this, but I won’t go into detail right now. Find a PR2-PR6 blog which offers you the opportunity to leave a comment. Better if there are already some comments on the page because you won’t stand out so much against other people.
2.) Read rapidly through the blog post to get a feel what the content talks about. In this stage, if you think the information provided is way too complicated or just difficult to give your opinion on, I would say – look for another backlink.
The worst time waster is usually the article which requires thorough reading to understand.
3.) Find a paragraph or two which are easy to understand and you feel you can give an honest opinion on.
4.) Obviously, you need to leave the comment. Remember, the comment must contain a html link back to your website.
IMPORTANT: The comment won’t give you any good if you don’t add the link as an anchor text (your keywords are your clickable link). The html link itself (http://www…) has no value for SEO and won’t push your website up the Google rankings.
5.) Please, don’t try to SPAM! It doesn’t work anymore. Moderators of websites and Google itself has become so alert of spam that you really have very little chance to survive with the spamming strategy. And making money with spamming is completely impossible!
6.) After leaving the comment, copy the backlink and then paste it in a notepad .txt file for later use. It will be very useful when you need an instant backlink for your another website. You won’t have to do the time consuming searching for backlinks.
